Upma is a staple south indian breakfast dish and can be made in a variety of ways. This is my favorite, where coconut oil replaces ghee and the added flavoring of sambhar powder makes it delicous. Where I have used sambhar powder, you can choose from many masala powder options available, including tamarind rice, bisibelebath, vangibath etc
