Method
The diet diversity, diet composition and risk of colon cancer was evaluated across 1993 cases and 2410 controls in the United States.
Results
Men who consume a high proportion of food items from meat, fish, poultry and eggs were at a higher risk of developing colon cancer. Women consuming a high proportion of food items in the form of plant foods, were at a reduced risk of developing colon cancer.
