To eat an animal meant that someone had to be killed, but to eat the by products of an animal required that someone had to live a long hard life as a slave. The mothers that produce milk and eggs for us have drawn out lives filled with entrapment, mutilation and rape.

The evening I was there, the farm was shipping three baby calves in a truck to a veal factory. The mother cows were crying when their babies were separated from them. I cannot forget the scene and can still hear the cries of the mother cows.
